 The hands of a hairdresser come into contact with liquids of all kinds on a daily basis, posing a considerable risk to the employee’s health. As occupational skin damages often lead to prolonged sickness absence, the resulting reduction of productivity causes high costs for businesses and for the national economy. The BGW, a German social accident insurance provider, has decided to strengthen the employees’ health literacy by integrating dermatological treatment and health promotion training.
