The examination of all fundamentally possible risk factors is the basis for determining and assessing possible risks at the workplace.
In the following sections you will be given detailed information on risk factors which may arise at work. Consideration is given here to all major factors which impact people and which can result in accidents and work-related health hazards.
The information on the individual risk factors includes in each case
- the nature and impact of the risk factors,
- limit values and assessment criteria,
- occupational safety and health measures,
- reference sources (laws, ordinances, regulations, standards, literature),
- text modules for examination lists and forms.
The content is based on the "Guide to determining risk-related occupational safety and health measures at the workplace" ("Ratgeber zur Ermittlung gefährdungsbezogener Arbeitsschutzmaßnahmen im Betrieb") issued by the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
The guide is currently being revised and will be published in the near future in printed form.
